The MIT Free Speech Alliance is very pleased to have MIT President Sally Kornbluth as the featured speaker for our Fall 2023 all hands meeting. President Kornbluth assumed her role at MIT in January 2023, and gave her endorsement to the Statement on Freedom of Expression and Academic Freedom passed by the MIT faculty last year early in her tenure. Since endorsing the statement, President Kornbluth has charged the Institute's senior leadership with exploring the process of implementing the recommendations contained in the report of MIT's Ad Hoc Working Group on Free Expression.
We look forward to hearing President Kornbluth's remarks and to the subsequent Q&A with attendees. Prior to joining MIT, Sally Kornbluth served as Provost of Duke University from 2014 to 2022. She is a graduate of Williams College and Cambridge University, and received her Ph.D. in molecular oncology from Rockefeller University. The discussion will be moderated by MFSA President Wayne Stargardt '74. Scroll down to register at our Zoom link.
